I'm Speechless

Words cannot express how proud I am. My son beat his personal best today , and I got to watch and help him out. I think my title of " Best Fisherman in the House " is in serious jeopardy and I couldn't be happier!

First fish of the day
Biggest fish of the day!

Have a great week!

  3. Thanks Clif! It was definitely a great day , I just put him to bed after a long talk about his "plan" for our next trip. He's a diabolical fishing mastermind...

  4. Awesome fish. He's going to quickly learn all you know and then learn more on his own. Then he will definitely be the best Fisherman in the house.

  9. Alex , yes it does. I mentioned to someone yesterday that the smile on his face after catching fish means more to me than anything I could ever catch

  10. JGR , thanks for stopping by! I hope he looks back on it fondly. Right now , I try to go out for day , before I take him . to pin down where the fish are and what they are biting. It keeps him interested if we are catching rather than just fishing.

It worked out great for me this time , we spent a little over 2 hours on the water and caught the two fish above plus two smaller ones.

  11. Thanks Tami ! My little buddy has really gotten into fishing over the last year. It's given me a very refreshing look at fishing through the eyes of my child. It's been very rewarding to see him get so excited over fish.

  14. I am late to your son's "wow" party, but, just wanted to add what a great picture and a couple of awesome fish. You sure have a lot to be proud of. Wish more of our youth could experience times like this one.
